Where we cut our teeth...
Andrew
NYPM personnel managed the design, procurement, installation and commissioning of the local engineering room (LER) which controlled this 60,000 ton extension to the BP Andrew Oil Rig. NYPM personnel liaised directly with Heerma, WGPSN and BP personnel to complete this successful project.
"I have worked with Dave on the BP Andrew Project at Heerema, he represented Mechtool who were providing the LER for the project, I found him to be very efficient and conscious of the quality of the product we required to satisfy our client BP and could recommend him as a Senior Project team member to any company who wished to secure his services for their project works".

Mungo
NYPM personnel managed the design, procurement, installation and commissioning of an additional accommodation unit for WGPSN. These fire and blast rated modules had to be under 8 ton each so we had to manufacture 4 off modules to be delivered, loaded and scooted around the rig, then assembled and tested on site. NYPM personnel liaised through WGPSN and ultimately BP.
"I have worked with David on Mungo Additional Accommodation Module. It was a high profile project (top 20 BP projects) and I worked for WGPSN as package manager. Throughout the fabrication of the module, I have found David a reliable project manager with impressive style of project management. He is capable of working under pressure and delivering fast-track deadlines plus he is a descent chap to work with".

Electrical Substations
NYPM personnel managed the design, procurement, installation and commissioning of various electrical substations for clients such as Scheider, Siemens France, Allseas and Turner EPS.
"I had the pleasure and privilege of working for David in my time at MechTool. David was driven and passionate, but at the same time engaging and humorous. He was parachuted in to bail out a difficult project that was coming off the rails and, thanks to his efforts and the motivation he instilled in others, the project turned a corner in a remarkably short timescale and a sense of direction and momentum was re-established. David is a person who sees the bigger picture and tells things how they are, even if that's sometimes uncomfortable to hear. It's essential and a skill that few have and use positively and effectively".
Nuclear
NYPM personnel managed the design, procurement, installation and commissioning of an overland conveyor which will be used to transfer various types of aggregate. The project involved the installation of the 40 ton reception hopper (utilising the MPI Resolution) along 400m of offshore gantries on a purpose built jetty through transfer towers into an aggregate store for Fairport engineering and ultimately EDF energy.
"I have known David for over 10 years when we first met at Hertel on the Buzzard and Montrose facilty extension - then on the Sirius Mineral Poly4 project. David was a project manager for Mech Tool and a Snr Project manager for Careys. He’s excellent when it comes to organisation, management and solving issues at all levels, as always seemed to get the best out of his team which is often shown in his ability to achieve the targets and milestones which are set throughout the contract. He thrives on a challenge and always seems to overcome whatever is pushed his way. He is passionate about his work, has a can do attitude achieving the highest of respect with all who have worked with him throughout his career. I would have no hesitation in recommending David for ay senior management positions - i would have no hestiate in workin with David or for David in any future projects".

Mining
NYPM personnel managed the design, procurement, installation and commissioning of over 8 km of tunnel structure and various High Angle conveyors, sizers and conveyor distribution system of tunnel spoil. The projects were in Paris for the new Grand Metro Express project through Vinci construction.
"I worked with David Foster who was the project manager at Komatsu in Sunderland looking after the Thames Tidway project in London (London's Super Sewer) and the Paris Metro Project. I was one of the structural engineers working on the various conveyor structural designs for these projects. David was an excellent project manager and managed the projects extremely well in spite of resource shortages which made hitting some of the deadlines extremely challenging. David managed the situation calmly and was always supportive of the engineering team. A very personable member of the team who was enthusiastic always cheerful and lead the team from the front. I would have no hesitation in recommending David to any prospective employer. He is a great 'team' player, enthusiastic about all the projects he is involved in and will definitely be an asset to any company who employs him".
